HOw would I go about getting my character as an avatar?

Take a screenshot, crop/resize it so that the picture is 100 pixels by 100 pixels or less, then upload it in the User CP. If you have more specific questions ask them.

its 100 x 100 pixels or 19.5 kb, it uses whichever is smaller

I feel that Venus. But there is a way we can do that and that's with Glyph of sacrifice

(except for the hair and run-up LOL)

how to load a picture?

there are two ways of doing this, BEARING IN MIND THAT THE LIMITS OF SIZE AND BANDWIDTH APPLY TO AVATARS.

You can send a .jpeg (widely used imaging) from your HDD by clicking on browse, and clicking on the picture you want.

The slightly harder version is to save the image as a .jpg, and uploading it to Imageshack or equivalent. Copying all of the image link and removing the URL of that site, then pasting it into the website URL is how you get an avatar on here.
